For our tool to access the Insights of your Instagram Business or Creator account, a proper link between this Instagram account and its related Facebook Page is required. This is because technically you grant the permission to access the Insights of your Instagram account via its related Facebook Page.

Sometimes if permissions are revoked you may experience issues re-authenticating the Instagram or Facebook profile to private statistics in quintly. You can try the below steps to successfully re-authenticate your profiles.

First, please check if both the Facebook and Instagram accounts authentication is broken. If both or only the Facebook profile lost authentication please go to step 2.

If only the Instagram account lost authentication please go to step 1 and then step 3.

Step 1 - Double-check the link between the Facebook and Instagram account is still active. You can check this by going via the Facebook Page's settings > Instagram.

Step 2 - Please go to the business integration settings.

Here you will see quintly as a business integration, please "View and edit". A popup window with the granted permission will be displayed. You can check here if all pages are checked which you like to analyze with quintly. Make sure to select both the Facebook and Instagram profiles.

Once you have checked all the pages, go back to quintly and try authenticating them to private statistics.

Step 3 - If the previous steps didn't help, you can try the following. Head back to the Facebook page settings. Go to the Facebook Page's settings > Instagram and click "Disconnect" and then Connect the Instagram profile again.

Please note: If the Instagram account and its related Facebook Page are managed via the Facebook Business Manager, you are required to have admin rights for the whole business within Business Manager to re-link both accounts.

After connecting the Instagram account to the Facebook account, you may need to go into the mobile app and confirm linking the profile to the Facebook profile in the settings. Once that is done, then please go back to quintly and go through the authentication process again.

Step 4 - If you are still experiencing issues after this, you can remove the business integration and then go through the authentication process again in quintly.

Step 5 - If the problem persists, please get in contact with our support team.
